Privacy Policy
Apex & Iron: Pixel Motorsport · Stratequo
Effective date: 22 October 2026
Applies to the Android game Apex & Iron: Pixel Motorsport (package com.apexiron.game).
In short: the game has no account and no servers of its own. Your career is saved on your phone. We (the developer) do not receive your game data. Google provides the ads (AdMob) and the in-app purchases (Google Play), and processes some data for that, as described below. In the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland you choose whether ads may be personalised. In the United States you can opt out of personalised ads (the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information). You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & data → Privacy options.
1. Who we are
The game is published by Simon Roland Ioan, an independent developer based in Timișoara, Romania ("we", "us"). For the limited data described in this policy we are the controller under the GDPR and the "business" under US state privacy laws. Contact: [email protected].
Google is an independent controller for the data it processes through AdMob and Google Play under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
2. Data stored on your device
The game saves the following only on your device. It is not sent to us.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| The driver name you type (any name; it does not need to be your real name) | Shown in your garage and in the in-game standings |
| Career progress: vehicles, parts, money, levels, achievements, season points, settings, language | To run the game and keep your progress |
| Records of purchases delivered (product, Google order number, date) | To deliver each purchase exactly once and restore it |
| Simple gameplay counters (for example, how often the store was opened) | Kept on the device to help balance the game in future updates. They are not transmitted |
The "rivals" in the season standings are fictional computer drivers. No other players see your name or data.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows optional rewarded ads (you choose to watch one for an in-game reward) and occasional full-screen ads between activities. It never shows ads during a race. Ads are provided by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the game may collect and send to Google:
- device and advertising identifiers (the Android advertising ID, app-set ID);
- IP address, from which an approximate location (country/region) can be derived;
- device and app information (model, OS version, language, app version);
- ad interaction data (ads shown, clicks, whether a rewarded ad was completed);
- diagnostic data used to measure ads and prevent fraud.
Google uses this data to serve and measure ads, to prevent fraud and abuse, and, only where you allow it, to personalise ads. Details: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google advertising.
Your choices
- EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland: on first launch a consent form (Google's User Messaging Platform) asks whether ads may be personalised and whether information may be stored on or read from your device. If you decline, you may still see non-personalised or limited ads.
- United States: where your state law gives you the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or of targeted advertising, you can do so through Privacy options in the game's settings. Ads are then no longer personalised for you.
- Everywhere: you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Privacy & data → Privacy options. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).
A build with no ad configuration shows no ads at all and sends no ad requests.
4. In-app purchases (Google Play)
Purchases are made through Google Play. We never see or store your payment card or bank details. When you buy something, the game receives from Google Play only the product, an order number and a purchase token. It uses them to check the purchase signature, deliver the item, and restore permanent items and an active membership. Google processes your payment under the Google Payments Privacy Notice. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions.
5. Android backup
If Android backup is turned on, Android may copy the game's save file to your Google account so it can be restored on a new device. Google performs this backup under its own terms; we cannot access it. You can turn backup off in Android settings.
6. What we do not collect
The game does not ask for or collect your email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, precise location, microphone or camera, health data or messages. It has no chat and no user-generated content shared with others. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting service that sends data to us. We do not sell your personal information for money.
7. EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland (GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP)
Legal bases
| Processing | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Personalised advertising; storing or reading information on your device for ads | Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive). You can withdraw it at any time in Privacy options |
| Non-personalised or limited ads, ad measurement, fraud prevention | Our legitimate interest in funding a free game and keeping ads safe (Art. 6(1)(f)), where consent is not required |
| Delivering and restoring purchases | Performance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)) |
| Keeping records needed by law (for example tax records for sales, held by Google) | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) |
International transfers
Google may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Google relies on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Because the game data is only on your device, you can view, change or delete it yourself in the game (Settings → Delete save), or by uninstalling. For data processed by Google, you can use Google's tools (myaccount.google.com) or write to us and we will help. You have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work. As we are established in Romania, our lead supervisory authority is the ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).
No decisions with legal or similarly significant effects are made about you by automated means.
8. United States (California and other states)
This section applies to residents of California (CCPA as amended by the CPRA) and of other US states with comprehensive privacy laws (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia).
Categories of personal information (past 12 months)
| Category | Examples | Source | Disclosed to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Advertising ID, app-set ID, IP address, Google order number | Your device, via the Google SDKs | Google (advertising, payments) |
| Internet or other electronic network activity | Ad interactions; whether a rewarded ad was completed | Your device, via the Google Mobile Ads SDK | Google (advertising) |
| Geolocation (approximate only) | Country or region derived from the IP address | Google (advertising, fraud prevention) | |
| Commercial information | Products you bought in the game | Google Play | Google (payments); stored on your device |
| Inferences | Ad interests, only if ads are personalised |
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by these laws.
"Sale", "sharing" and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. When ads are personalised, making identifiers and ad interaction data available to Google may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, or as targeted advertising, under some state laws. You can opt out at any time in Settings → Privacy & data → Privacy options ("Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information"). We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Your rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to know or access, delete, and correct personal information, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising and certain profiling. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. Rewarded ads are optional and are not offered in exchange for personal information. To make a request, write to [email protected]; an authorised agent may request on your behalf. Because we do not hold your game data on our own servers, much of it can be managed directly in the game. We will verify requests in a way that fits the data involved and answer within 45 days (extendable once as the law allows). If we refuse a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer. If the appeal is denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.
9. Children
The game is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country, up to 16 in parts of the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Google Play listing targets ages 13 and older. If you believe a child under the applicable age has used the game in a way that caused personal information to be collected, contact us and we will help remove it. On the device, Delete save erases all game data.
10. Retention and deletion
- Game data on your device: kept until you delete it (Settings → Delete save) or uninstall the game. An Android backup copy follows your Android backup settings.
- Purchase records: the on-device copy is deleted with your save. Purchases can still be restored from Google Play afterwards. Google keeps its own records under its policy and the law.
- Advertising data: retained by Google according to its retention policy (policies.google.com/technologies/retention).
11. Security
The game stores its save with a checksum and a backup copy to prevent corruption. The Google SDKs send data over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we limit what is collected to what the game needs.
12. Changes and contact
If the game starts processing data differently (for example if online features are added), we will update this policy and its effective date before the change takes effect, and tell you in the game where the law requires it.
