Android app development

Native Android apps, built the modern way

We build Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, following Google's current architecture guidance. The result: smooth interfaces, good battery behaviour, support for a wide range of devices and a codebase that is easy to maintain.

The challenge

Android runs on thousands of device models with different screen sizes, OS versions and manufacturer customisations. Apps that ignore this fragmentation crash, look broken on some phones or get rejected because of permission and target-API requirements on Google Play.

Our approach

Modern Android stack

  • Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for a reactive, testable user interface
  • Architecture based on ViewModels, unidirectional data flow and a clear data layer
  • Room for local storage, WorkManager for reliable background work
  • Adaptive layouts for phones, foldables and tablets
  • Accessibility support: TalkBack, scalable text and sufficient touch targets

Google Play, done properly

We prepare an Android App Bundle, signing configuration, store listing, screenshots and the Data safety declaration. We follow Google Play policies for permissions, target API level and user data, and use internal and closed testing tracks before a staged rollout to production.

Typical Android projects

Business and field-service apps, booking and loyalty apps, companion apps for existing web platforms, utilities and productivity tools, content apps and casual games.

Measured quality

Crash-free sessions, start-up time and app size are tracked from the first beta. We fix regressions before they reach your users and keep the app compatible with each new Android release.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Google Play review take?

It varies. New developer accounts and first submissions can take several days; updates are usually faster. Google may also require closed testing with real testers before production access for new personal accounts. We plan this time into the schedule.

Which Android versions do you support?

We choose a minimum version that covers the vast majority of your target users while keeping development efficient, and always target the API level Google Play currently requires.

Can you turn my website into an Android app?

We can build a companion app that uses your existing backend, adding what the web can't do as well — notifications, offline access, device features. A plain "website in a wrapper" usually offers little value and may be rejected by Google Play.
