Overview

Overview

Keelwork is a project management and issue tracking application that STRATEQUO builds and operates as its own product. It brings planning, delivery and client collaboration into one workspace: issues with real structure, boards, sprints, roadmaps, reports, time and cost tracking and automation.

Highlights

  • Multi-tenant by design: every record carries its workspace, PostgreSQL row-level security isolates workspaces in the database, and automated tests try to cross that boundary on every build.
  • Boards and sprints: drag-and-drop with mouse, touch or keyboard, WIP limits, swimlanes, saved views, backlog ranking, sprint planning with carry-over, burndown and velocity.
  • Roadmaps from real dates, with dependencies and conflict flags.
  • Time and cost: timers, billable time, rates visible only to finance roles, cost per currency.
  • Automation with execution history, retries and loop protection; Git links through signed GitHub/GitLab webhooks; a client portal for guests.
  • 10 interface languages, light/dark themes and a ⌘K command palette.

Status

Private beta: the application is feature-complete for staging and early teams. See the product page for details and early access.

Case study

Keelwork — project and issue tracking

  1. 01

    Challenge

Delivery teams often split work across several tools and still lack trustworthy numbers. Keelwork had to combine planning, time and client collaboration in one product — and, as a SaaS, guarantee that one customer can never see another’s data.

  2. 02

    Solution

Next.js 16 and PostgreSQL 17 with typed SQL instead of an ORM. Isolation is enforced twice: server-side permission checks and forced row-level security with a non-bypass application role. Realtime updates use Server-Sent Events over LISTEN/NOTIFY; automation, e-mail and cleanup run in a Postgres-backed job queue with retries and idempotency.

  3. 03

    Results

120 unit and integration tests (24 of them negative tenant-isolation tests) and 12 end-to-end journeys with accessibility scans pass; a measured 7-second performance defect on a 5,000-issue project was fixed down to 66 ms at p95. Billing, OAuth and the AI assistant are implemented and await provider credentials.
